Antique Baskethilted Broadsword (Claymore) from Early 1800s

Surviving antique Scottish baskethilted broadsword (claymore) from the early 1800s.

It is 38" overall with a 31 3/4" tapering double edged blade with a central fuller. It weighs 2 pounds 12 ounces. Point of balance is 3 1/2" from the basket. Leather covered spiral fluted grip. Fluted bun shaped pommel. Steel guard of rounded bars framing cusped panels pierced with hearts.

The sword is in amazing condition. It has a light patina overall.
