Cawood Sword

Based on an 11th century piece named after the location where it was discovered near Cawood Castle in England. It was preserved in the mud of the River Ouse for almost a millenium. The original is on display in the Yorkshire Museum. A similar sword was unearthed in Norway in 1888, giving a valuable clue to the Cawood Sword's origin.

Hand forged from 5160 high carbon spring steel with a full tang. Steel pommel and crossguard. Hardwood grip is wrapped in leather. Complete with leather covered wood scabbard with integral belt loop. Ships with a sharp edge.

36" overall with a 30" blade. Handle is 4". Weighs around 2 pounds 7 ounces.
