The Greek spear head was an integral weapon of the the Hoplite warrior. It varied in length from 6 to 18 feet, and could be used both as a spear and a pike. Shorter versions were used as throwing weapons. The earlier versions were made of bronze. Once iron was available it became the metal of choice for the Greek spear head. This is the head only. Designed for a 1 1/4" pole. Ships with an unsharpened edge. 16" overall with a 11" blade. Weighs around 1 pound 4 ounces.
